PCW Parties

So many PCW supporters have told us how important the store is to them individually and as part of a thriving progressive community in Toledo. Now when people ask what they can do to help the bookstore's doors stay open, we have an answer: Tupperware!

Well, not exactly, but you can host a People Called Women house party! It's a great way to have fun, support the store, and share your PCW love with your friends. We will come to your house with a six-foot table with lots of fantastic inventory, including new books and fun sidelines (buttons, bumper stickers, locally roasted fair trade coffee, t-shirts, etc.). Or you can invite your friends to shop a theme party such as Kids for Equality, Lesbian Fiction, Women in Politics, etc.

PCW gift certificates will also be available--a great item  to have on hand for gift-giving or to introduce new friends to the store. If we don't have an item with us, we're happy to take orders.

What else can you do at your PCW house party? You could choose the next book for your book group, host a discussion on feminist parenting or shopping locally, show a movie related to the theme, or just hang out.

As a PCW party host you will receive a PCW gift certificate for fifteen percent of the total sales of your party. To schedule a party, please contact Janet at pcwtoledo@yahoo.com

Maybe books could be the new Tupperware--you can't store food in them, but they're much nicer to get lost in.
